Christmas 17 A

For the first time I have scanned an image from my sketch book. The concept for this years card was born with this simple drawing. At the time I was visualising the end result and asked myself several questions regarding how I wanted to proceed. This sketch was of a pine cone in our backyard of which we are required to rake hundreds of them every year. Not sure at what point it dawned on me that the cone reminded me of a Christmas tree. As you can see I ignored the questions and comments I made at the time of discovering the concept.   Status: Collection of the artist.
