NIMMONS HOUSE
William and Isabella Nimmons purchased a half section of land from the Hudsons Bay Company for $8 dollars an acre and built the ranch house circa 1898. His ranch included a sandstone quarry and brickworks as well as greenhouses. The house was one of the first in Calgary to be built of brick being supplied by his own brickworks company. The house presides over a prominent view of downtown Calgary from the south west to this day.
