Pink

The wide variety of flowers that I plant every year on my patio provides me with an enormous amount of visual stimuli. I begin with a detailed drawing examining the form and color that allows me to experiment with abstracting the image. This is a pink begonia that inspired me to express the forms of the petals as independent entities floating in space yet still true to its visual reality. I will continue to evolve this thought process into more abstract forms that stray from the visual reality.   Status: Collection of the artist.
