St. Louis Hotel
The St. Louis Hotel is an iconic symbol of the downtown east side of Calgary. In the early 80’s it was the favorite watering hole of then Mayor, Ralph Klein. (He went on to become Premier of Alberta). At that time I took on the ambitious project of producing a collection of 100 buildings built prior to World War 1 to celebrate Calgary’s 100th anniversary of incorporation as a city. This is an example of the collection. I list this piece as private collection though I do not know whose. I had heard rumors that it was hanging in the Mayor’s office but I lost track of it completely.
Status: Private collection
