MANHOLE #1

This image was my first attempt to design a manhole cover for the City of Vancouver’s call for artist submissions to design manhole covers for the storm sewer system. As I experimented with a variety of designs it became apparent that a colorful representation was not exactly compatible with iron work.   Status: Collection of the artist.
